Public Consultation is currently underway for two Section 34 Amendments to the Trent Source Protection Plan and Assessment Report for the Grafton (Lower Trent) and Woods of Manilla (Kawartha) Drinking Water Systems, more information is available below.
Section 34 Amendment: Grafton
- One new drinking water well is being added.
- One well is being decommissioned.
These changes to the Grafton Drinking Water System have changed the boundaries of the Wellhead Protection Area and resulted in minor changes to the area where specific activities can be a drinking water threat. If you live and/or work in the impacted area, there may be policies in the Trent Source Protection Plan that will affect how and where certain activities can occur. This may apply to home heating oil tanks, agriculture, the application/storage of road salt, or the storage of chemicals that could impact municipal drinking water.
The public is invited to submit comments on the proposed changes by January 23, 2026, to info@trentsourceprotection.on.ca.
