The Science Behind Drinking Water Source Protection

The initiative to protect sources of municipal drinking water is directed and funded by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. The Clean Water Act helps protect drinking water at the source, as part of an overall commitment to safeguard human health and the environment. A key focus of the legislation is the preparation of locally developed, science-based assessment reports and source protection plans.

Technical studies have been completed for each municipal system and were used as a basis for the preparation of the Assessment Reports. Contact us if you wish to review these technical reports.
