MINISTRY APPROVES AMENDMENTS TO TRENT SOURCE PROTECTION PLAN - Re: Stirling & Pinewood
On June 8, 2020 the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks approved amendments to the Trent Source Protection Plan, Assessment Report and Explanatory Document. The amendment includes:
- An expanded and revised water quality protection area around the new and existing wells of the Pinewood and Stirling drinking water systems
- Updated source protection plan mapping
Notice of the amendment can be found on the Environmental Bill of Rights registry, ERO Number 019-1345.
The source protection authority completed the amendments in accordance with the legislative and regulatory requirements set out in the Clean Water Act, 2006 and Ontario Regulation 287/07(General).
The amendments take effect upon posting on the Environmental Registry.
