Ministry Approves Amendments to Trent Source Protection Plan, RE: Blackstock

On December 22, 2022 the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks approved amendments to the Trent Source Protection Plan and Assessment Report. The amendment includes:

  • A revised water quality protection area around the new and existing wells of the Blackstock drinking water system
  • Updated source protection plan mapping
  • Updated Assessment Report figures

Notice of the amendment can be found on the Environmental Bill of Rights registry, ERO Number 019-6307.

The source protection authority completed the amendments in accordance with the legislative and regulatory requirements set out in the Clean Water Act, 2006 and Ontario Regulation 287/07(General).

The amendments took effect upon posting on the Environmental Registry.
