The Minister's Annual Report on Drinking Water is an overview of programs, policies and drinking water protection initiatives taken by the government. This year's report contains information pertaining to drinking water systems' performance in Ontario, First Nations drinking water improvement, Great Lakes protection, and the second progress report on implementing the Water Opportunities Act.

Implementation Forum 2016

The Trent Conservation Coalition held its annual Drinking Water Source Protection Municipal Forum on October 25th, 2016. It was a great turnout with numerous municipalities and partners in attendance. The event, designed to assist with the implementation of the Trent and Ganaraska Source Protection Plans, featured numerous presentations and discussions pertaining to the successes, difficulties and experiences from the last year of implementation, as well as a Q & A session with SPC Chair Jim Hunt and Pat Kinch, Manager of Source Protection Implementation at MOECC.

Trent Conservation Coalition DWSP Municipal Forum 2016

The Trent Conservation Coalition Source Protection Region is pleased to announce its annual Drinking Water Source Protection Municipal Forum will be held Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at Baxter Creek Golf Club in Fraserville, Ontario. The event will feature various topics from municipalities, Conservation Authorities and MOECC, of which a complete list can be found here.

Baxter Creek is located at the corner of Highway 28 and Cedar Valley Road, approximately 25km north of Highway 401, and 4.5km south of Highway 115. The event will include a light breakfast of muffins and fruit with cofee and tea options. Under the Clean Water Act, a Source Protection Committee representing multiple stakeholders is required for each source protection region in Ontario. A Source Protection Committee oversees all matters of the Source Protection Region.
